My story

A woman with long curly black hair and a smile, wearing a black long-sleeve top, sitting in a modern indoor setting with colorful abstract artwork on the wall and green plants in the background.
A woman hanging a black and white watercolor painting of a cloudy sky and sea on a wall. The wall has pinboard panels with various small decorations, including colorful and beaded artwork.

Johwa (조화) is the Korean concept of dynamic harmony, representing the beautiful, intentional balance created when contrasting elements are brought together.

As a Korean adoptee with Black + Korean roots, my story has always been about exploring identity, finding purpose and harmony whatever the world faces me with. That duality is in everything I make.
